Coach of the Year: Pete Hardee (Watauga HS)
In 2009, the Watauga high school skipper led a veteran group to a 17-8 record capturing the always challenging Northwestern 4A Conference. The notorious Appalachian State University baseball alum backs down from no challenge on the diamond. This is evident in the non-conference schedule he assembles every year for his Pioneer squad. Coach Hardee is a winner and a relentless teacher of the game. He commands the respect of his coaching peers and his players. We are very proud to name Coach Hardee "2009 IMPACT Baseball Coach of the Year."
