It’s always exciting when the month of February rolls around, you know baseball season is close! This past weekend we traveled to Greenville, North Carolina for our latest Impact ID Camp. Check out the action below….

Top 5 Prospects:

1. Tucker McLung, C, Oakwood – 2026 Grad
It’s hard to believe looking at Mr. McLung, that body is in eighth grade! Standing at 5’10 185 pounds, he’s a physical strong well put together young man. The part of Tucker’s game I really liked was in the box. His strength plays and has the ability to juice balls in the gap. Follow this name for the future!

2. Michael Gurganus, RHP, Bear Grass Charter – 2025 Grad
This guy is going to win a lot of baseball games for Bear Grass over the next four years. Michael looks very comfortable toeing the rubber in the bullpen session. His fastball has life and sits around 80 mph with clean arm action. He does have a tendency to get around the breaking ball at time, but he’s just a Freshman! This is definitely a guy to keep a close eye on..

3. Noah Price, INF/C, Corinth Holders – 2027 Grad
Yes the graduation class is right! Price has a good skill set at such a young age and showed good feel for the game on Sunday. In the box, he hits from a good base and showed the ability to hit pitches all over the field. Exciting youngster to follow for the next five years…

4. Leland Barrow, INF/RHP, Greene Central – 2023 Grad
If you know anything about Eastern, North Carolina baseball and hear the school “Greene Central High School” you instantly think of quality players. You can add Barrow to that list! Barrow showed well during I/O and on the mound during Sunday’s workout. One part of Barrow game that stood out was his arm strength on the mound and during infield.

5. Jack McKellar, C/INF, Rocky Mount – 2026 Grad
Another well put together strong young man describes Jack McKellar! McKellar is a left handed hitting catcher from Rocky Mount. McKellar showed arm strength behind the dish that will continue to develop as he gets older. In the box, he sometimes gets long but when he stays on the baseball he has some thunder in the swing.

“Just Missed”
Tanner Pope, LHP/1B, Garner – 2026 Grad
Loved watching Mr. Pope on the bump, you can see the projection and upside to the southpaw. In the box, he showed a good easy left handed swing with good rhythm and balance. He’s a guy that will be making a name for himself in the upcoming years for Garner High School.
