May 9th ID Camp Breakdown

On Sunday, May 9 th , IMPACT Baseball headed to Lynchburg, Virginia for the first ID Camp in the state of Virginia. The talent did not disappoint! 44 players representing 4 states came to the Hill City and showed out.

Top prospect information below:

1. Matthew Wright- McMichael (NC) 2022 GRAD. Matt is the walking definition of the word “athlete”. A High School QB, Point Guard, & Utility baseball player. You can put Matthew almost anywhere on the field and he will stand out. He is 90mph off the mound with a hard slider, runs a 6.9 60 yd dash, & during on-field BP 3 of his 10 swings found the parking lot.

2. Grayson Fitzwater- Nansemond River, 2022 GRAD. I have seen Grayson a few times now, he is probably the best defensive first baseman I have seen at the HS level. Watching him play defense is fun! A true lefthanded hitter, Grayson shows quick hands with present strength to hit the ball out middle to pull side of the field. He likes to pull the baseball, and really swings it with some authority in the box.

3. Sam Bell- Jefferson Forest, 2023 GRAD. Sam had an outstanding day at camp. Sam cruises 84-87 T88 on the mound with a nice breaking ball. He is a consistent strike thrower that has continued to make velo jumps on the mound. Kid has started to swing it lately! had a very loud round of BP banging a few balls off the wall and showed an exit velo of 92.

*Tariq Talley- Towson (MD) 22’ – Ran a 6.7 with an impressive round of BP, athlete.
*Logan Duff- LCA 22’ – Outstanding defensive receiver/blocker who hits for average.
*Colby Smith- Reidsville (NC) 22’ – 3B who makes plays, hard contact.
*Chase Magrisi- Nansemond River 22’ – Ran a 6.8 with a loud round of BP, athlete.
*Noah Leonard- Lord Botetourt 23’ – Consistent hard contact, still growing, very good player.
*Joe Gomez- Fluvanna County 23’ – Really good defender, sure hands, 86 across with ease.
*Will Palmer- LCA 23’ – OF ran a 6.9, strong & accurate arm, 86 exit velo.
*Tavon Williams- Ocean Lakes 23’ – Really like him on the mound, low ¾ slot with sink, FB was an easy 82-83.
*Kennen Lewis- Chatham 24’- True SS with sure hands, 81 arm velo, 6.9 runner, good hitter.
*Carter Richardson- Tunstall 24’ – OF with legit pop for size, 6.9 runner, 84 from OF.
*Hartley Rahman- Collegiate School 24’ – Super smooth defender, makes it look easy, good swing.
*Ryan Allard- Luneburg County 24’ – Tall projectable RHP, FB was 84, nice hammer 12-6.
*Noah Abercrombie- Dan River 24’ – Super physical body for a 24’, strong bat with loud contact, effortless 82-83 on mound, 6.9 runner.
*Alex Van Pelt- Chatham 24’ – Corner INF, fast hands in the box, strong swing.
*Carter Mitchell- Collegiate School 24’ – 6’3 physical OF with loud stick in the box.
*Seth Tickel Roanoke Rapids 25’- Impressive body and actions for a 2025.
