Albemarle:
Gage Dennis (2020, Uncommitted): The senior infielder showed very good hands and a solid arm in the infield for the Bulldogs. The right handed hitter showed an athletic swing at the dish as well.
Uwharrie Charter:
Braylen Hayes (2022, Uncommitted) got the start for the Eagles on the mound. Hayes sat 83-85 mph with the fastball then showed a 72 mph slider. The sophomore showed a very athletic arm action and was the best athlete on the diamond.
Hunter Hill (2021, Uncommitted) The right hander was 84-86 mph topping 87 mph a few times in his lone inning of work. Hill shows a tight 75 mph slider for his strikeout pitch! Hill will be a big key to the Eagles rotation this year.
Trey Way (2022, Virginia Tech Commit) Trey showed a very short/compacted swing at the plate. The right handed hitter is a very tough out, he doesn’t give in. Way starts behind the dish for Uwharrie and is a key piece to the 2020 puzzle.
Mason Little (2021 Uncommitted) Little is a very intriguing athlete. The 6’1” shortstop made every play look easy and showed a good balanced swing. Little will also get some time on the mound as well is spring.
